Grant Making Guidelines
The 4 Yellow Foundation raises funds and awareness to combat cancer, both globally and locally. YVCF accepts proposals for 4 Yellow Foundation Funding from organizations that provide cancer services or support cancer initiatives in Steamboat Springs. The 2012 proposal deadline is February 20th at 4pm. Proposals must be submitted electronically as one single .PDF file to jennifer@yvcf.org. Award notification will be March 30th. Organizations receiving grants are required to acknowledge the Yampa Valley Community Foundation and the 4 Yellow Foundation in their materials, press and publications.
The 2011 Community Grants cycle was completed and awarded in fall 2011.The Yampa Valley Community Foundation has one Community Grant round per year. The grant round allows the Community Foundation to see the broad perspective of the Community’s needs and use grant funds to their fullest potential.
Letters of Intent for the 2012 Community Grants will be due by June 1, 2012. Grant proposals are solicited from organizations in Routt and Moffat counties. The grant proposals are researched and analyzed by the Grants Committee, which is made up of local community volunteers and YVCF Board members. Proposals are also shared with Donor Advisors who have created a YVCF Donor Advised Fund. Grants are awarded to organizations and programs that best demonstrate an impact on community needs.The Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation (SS&RC) Employee Environmental Fund and the SS&RC Recreation Fund operate in conjunction with the Community Grant round.
